Lottie volunteers at the Branksea Animal Shelter, helping to care for homeless cats and dogs. One day a mysterious cardboard box appears in front of the door, and it contains a hungry and fearful kitten. They decide to name her Pandora. Unlike the Greek myth, where the box brought sadness, the arrival of Pandora is a reason for joy and hope.
